Mid-Week PICK.ME.UP

Even though I had a divine long weekend in the sun, I found myself a little in a slump. Well, Old Navy got a great new color rockstar in, mani/pedi, had a good/refreshing girls dinner, tried the new Sprinkles Cupcake Ice Cream shop, then got back in the gym *sounds ironic, I know*,.... and  BOOM, just like that - I am feeling great again!

REMINDER: DO THINGS THAT KEEP YOU IN CHECK AND HAPPY!

Now if only I can make the gym a routine, get it togetha and keep at it! Aint about weight sistah's, it's about feeling good (and clothes of course)!

Raawr! #1, if you remember correctly I consider leopard a primary color - so maybe this is a bad example,   however - I am one to say, ROCK A PRINT ON A PRINT! Wear polka dots with stripes, get after it!

Sunny Disposition.

Whenever it is HOT, HOT, HOT, out, I dress the part. Summer is coming, and so I gotta reflect the sunshine in my wardrobe choices. I find that I am the most comfortable in skinny jeans, and I love the trend of colored denim and monochromatic color blocking. I would wear this to work, brunch, the movies, really, anywhere. I find when I feel like my outfit is making any kind of statement, that in turn I making a statement. I am a believer that what you wear, reflects who you are. AND, who you are might change on a day to day basis, but so do you clothes! EVOLVING style.

Caught The Bug

Honestly - All I can think of these days,... VACATION. I am constantly on travel websites, hotel websites, googling "top hotel's in Greece", "five-star accommodation's Thailand", "last minute cruise deals", "Air Tahitit Nui vacation packages"... you get the idea. The thrill of looking forward to a trip is half of the fun, and I need a cheap thrill. With vacay on the brain, I tend to pull out my "resort wear". Sun dresses, jeweled sandals, etc.

Shake What Cha Mama Gave Ya!

I am one of those chickities that is basically obsessed with their mommies. I was blessed with a good one! Which in turn means I have a wonderful grandma! And, naturally - my sista is a good one too..

(I never knew I was "bigger" because my mom never made it a point of contention, she always helped me find outfits/clothes that I loved in my size, and I just never even realized that I was "plus-size", I hope you all were as lucky - thanks Mom!)

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies.. hope you had a good one!

Don't you forget that I love a bride! Who doesn't love weddings.. I LOVE all things weddings. Sometimes I will be shopping and I think in "bride". I see white items and think "so bridal". When I see certain dresses I think to myself "how shower appropriate". I found this number at Nordstroms and have literally been saving it for a shower. Isn't it so spring/summer floral feminine, shower-esque if you will!

I just happened to need a moment to breath at work, so of course I go online shopping. I discovered a plus line I didn't know existed. It is one of Target's new special initiative "special shops" (The Webster Miami ), and they carry PLUS versions ONLINE ONLY!

The Mexicans Beat The French!

Remember in college when you thought that Cinco De Mayo was "Mexican Independence Day" and you also thought that it was really cool/cute to call it cinco de drinko... *don't feel that bad if you still thought it was Mexican Independence Day.. but feel embarrassed if you still think it's cute to call it cinco de drinko*

Those Summer NA-IGHTS!

I love May. The nights still have a brisk coldness to them, yet, the air of summer is whisping all around.
If you are a LA-LA Local I can give no better advice then to tell you to go to the Yamashiro nightime farmer's market on Thursday during the summer months. AMAZE. perfection. best vibes in the city!
We go on a walk before, Runyon Canyon is right adjacent, and then hit up the glorious food delights!

These are the moments when I say to myself;

It was a gloomy day. Tuesday. Leather. Sort of an emotional dresser. Serious mood. Serious outfit. 

*you know if this is my definition of a "serious" outfit, things are never that serious for me*

Something about putting on heels, getting it "together" makes me feel more "together".
