My mom has always tried to push "outfits" on me. When purchasing any item, she would always say "well is it an outfit?" Used to drive me crazy. BUT, as they always say... the apple never falls far from the tree, and here I am, RIPE ol' 26..warping into my mother, slowly but surely. I consider it a blessing!

When you work, weekends become more and less luxurious/appreciated/coveted. Double edged sword, for sure. Part of me is so productive and social, and part of me just wants to lay all day, every day. Yesterday, I had to be pragmatic, I had things to get done, people to see, places to go (aka- returns to make), and Oscar madness.

When "running errands" I really like to be in work out clothes, (COME ON. admit it. you do too, because then we think we will actually get to the gym, and be reminded to eat healthy, bc after all we are in work out gear). Cheers to another week..!

Homestead-y!

I am a serious homebody at heart. This restaurant, The Homestead, in old La Quinta speaks to me. The property is an old Homestead, and each dining room is a different theme, of course after your meal (chicken pot pie, spaghetti and meatballs, liver & onions, etc)..we go outside and roast s'mores by the fire.

After Work

I can never wrap my head around 'after work drinks'.. NO THANK YOU. Not me. I am ready to jump into bed. BUT- there was this event for this GREAT company Style 2020 that I really wanted to check out. I didn't even change after work or even apply makeup. Just ran right in. CONFIDENCE.
Again- navy blue and black together is one of my fav combos! Deal.

Dunkeroo

My husband has been a Clipper fan/season ticket holder, since before the day I met him. Not bandwagoners in this household. He even wore jerseys to games, I admit... that may be one of the few things I just HAD to change about him. I do love to go to games and wear comfy outfits and stuff my face with bad food.... but why are basketball games so glitzy? I was so envious of Rihanna's bleach blonde hair she was rocking at the game tonight...     UGH. must. get. hair. lightened. STAT.
              (LADIES, take off your heels and weaves in the arena... leave that for Khloe and RiRi)!

I pretty much love how every single aspect of this post is contrasting. The velvet blazer, paired with a floral summer shift, with worn leather boots, no make-up with bright red matted lips, paired with the architecturally eye popping white building. WERK.
