1) I love resort wear. 2) I have said it before, I have an Eloise complex and would be very happy living in a hotel. full time. 3) I love these pants, and I know they are not the most flattering of items. 4) Why do I keep purchasing items for a spring wardrobe?.. it's not even February!
I was with one of my best friends yesterday, and she was showing me pictures from her recent trip to Paris and Morocco. I honestly just about d.i.e.d. She has such an insane eye for EVERYTHING. She takes surf shots, lifestyle shots, interior design, fashion, you name it, she takes it. When you see pictures that tell stories, you know someone has a gift, girl has the gift.. honestly, the most insane instagram I have seen yet... YOU REALLY SHOULD FOLLOW HER IF YOU HAVE THE APP, @emilyayre. Obvi she took all the shots in this post, and edited them all on her handy dandy magical iPhone.
Moral of the story, we meet up at Nordstroms, we are in literally mirrored outfits. Both have a punch of leopard, both have grey/black/brown winter hues, and some kind of knit on our heads, with a touch glitter. Talk about friendship. BOOM.
I explain to Emily that I have darkened my hair and have caught the brunette blues, and amcraving neon hues.
Emily's leopard jeans: Target (only come to a size 15)

Now, get ready to start seeing a lot of bright lips in my upcoming posts.
I love all holidays. I feel like I haven't stopped celebrating since Thanksgiving. Time to REEL.IT.IN.
I die for Korean BBQ, ya-ya... I know- It was CHINESE new year, not Korean, but here is a little lesson: they are the same. The first day of the lunar calendar. So in my twisted little head it was very appropriate to make sure I squeezed in a K-town bbq meal this week. My favorite Korean BBQ in LA is O Dae San in Korea town on Olympic.. TRY IT!
Word to the wise: wear comfy washable clothes to Korean BBQ, because you will without a doubt smell like leftovers.
I am swamped today, and tonight, but I found myself catching a quick minute... alone. I realize, I love those moments. The moments of total reflection and peace, conversations in your head, with oneself. I realize 2011 was a big year for me, 25 years of age. I think as cliche' as it sounds, I always viewed 25 as a year you "GROW UP", and I sure as hell did. Real life sets in, you are now closer to 30 then you are to 20. OY. With happy occasions, like my husband graduating from law school and passing the bar, comes the job market, and him loosing his dear grandpa. REAL LIFE. I find that I am at peace with my life, I find joy in this blog, in sharing my true love of clothes and being able to wear what you love at any size and I look forward to 26. I embrace 26. Do I more then most long for the days of being 6 at Disneyland in a Minnie Mouse dress? YES! Do I more then most wish I was child rather then wish I had a child? YES!! HOWEVER, I also love this new stage, ADULTHOOD... and I look forward to braving it together...
I am glad I am so aware of what makes me a whole, happy, person.. and laying alone, in a comfy fluffy bed, in my zone, is one of them!
Now, onto happy carefree, thoughtless activities- COUNTDOWN TILL MY BIRTHDAY BACHELOR VIEWING PARTY!!!! what to wear..... HMMM.... L'Chaim to my 26th year, I look forward to sharing it with you all! Thank you for joining me on this journey.
CONFESSION 101: We took our winter holiday decorations down last night, and as of today, I started decorating for my birthday/valentines day. EEEK.
Decorations change the whole vibe of a space. Don't you think?
Anyways, we are going out of town this weekend, and Monday is my birthday (sidenote: I have a Peter Pan complex.. this is a rough one, 26. UGH) so I am having girls over to watch 'The Bachelor' Ben (did you guys just DIE at Josh Grobans tweet about Ben being his and Rafa Nadals love child, I just about tinkled my pants). I figured it be fitting to decorate with lots of "love" themed things, as well as have our own "rose ceremony", hence the chocolate roses being put onto a platter.
Juicy Jumpsuit (comes in extended sizes)
Such a work in progress..
I will be sure to show you pictures of the finished product next week!
My Saturday night felt like a total rewind, reliving the past situation. That is a good and a bad thing! These pants are a rare Forever21 golden GEM! The "leather" literally feels soft as ever and they received endless praise.. which I always rejoice in when I get to say that an item is "from FOREVER". RUN GIRLS. You know nothing lasts FOREVER at Forever. You can quote me on that one.
POP-OF-COLOR. Care of Brad Goreski of course. I was torn if I should even allow myself to indulge in his show, BC of course it wouldn't be a loyal task to my girl, RZ, but alas- 'It's a Brad, Brad world' and I am just living in it.
dress: ASOS curve

oh and hat: c/o grandpa!
WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GOOD POP OF COLOR?! boom. boom.
Third wheeled with my best friend and her mama to meet with a florist for her nuptuals @ Flora in Culver City. Of course a wedding event, I had to wear a acrylic necklace that reads "love". DUH, always themed! The two florists were kind enough to encourage we dine at this great cafe, Surfas. LOVED. Also it's a gourmet grocery store. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping by.
top: Free People
necklace: Flea Market Girl
*Beet Salad, Curry Chicken, Caprese* In case you were curious, I would be!
Don't you think this post title "waves" is appropriate? Waves in the hair.. the cafe' was called Surfas? You with me?!
