The Rush..

The rush to find the right gift for all your loved ones. OY VEY. pressure. I honestly thrive on late night shopping.. and the few days before Christmas, stores are open LATE. Just walked in the door from Macy*s, which was open at Fashion Island till midnight and at South Coast Plaza till 2AM! The sweater I am wearing is one of my ultimate favorites.. I spotted it on Blake Lively during an episode of Gossip Girl years ago and I hunted it down.. not worn in it's best glory here, but- you get the picture.

Short Order

So, I have new found free time on my hands, and am beginning to live my future adulthood life of becoming a lady who lunches. This week we hit up Nancy Silverton's (of La Brea bakery, Spago, Pizzeria Mozza/Osteria Mozza, etc. etc.) new restaurant Short Order in the Farmer's Market at the Grove. I mean, hello.. a new gourmet burger joint in town... BUCKET LIST!

I always forget how enjoyable it is to escape and walk around The Farmer's Market. A world unto it's own... and, Short Order has a dessert stop in the Market called "Short Cake". Not a bad outing. My recommendation (pictured): The Frisee Lardon Raft; grazed Fed Beef, Frisee, artisan slab bacon, fried egg and lemon vinaigrette. BOOM!!

Wishful Wednesday (CHANNUKAH!)

While prepping to make Latkes, I realized it might be time to reinvest in some new pots and pans. Two years into our marriage?  I thought these things were supposed to last forever?! OY!!!! L'CHAIM!

Quick memo: I was so excited to get these plus-size tights at Avenue. It's hard to find good tights being 6'2 and a bigger size. These I thought would be golden but they were cut so short... I was like a 6 year old little girl all night trying to pull them up. FAIL.

All That Sparkles!

My best friend is getting married! What could be a better celebration than an engagement party during the Holiday Boat Parade?! NOTHING! Bring on the glitter! Sequins and sparkle and everything holiday and bridal!! LOVE. Sparkles always make me think festive holiday gear!

Toontown Depot!

I tried to tell you, I frequent DISNEYLAND! I even have a wardrobe I reserve mostly for outings to Disneyland. "COMFY CLOTHES" if you will. Well, I try to go as much as possible during the Holiday's. This particular visit it was so dang busy we decided to go straight on the train to Toontown, an area of the park we don't visit so often. So fun and refreshing! Back to the roots!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Honestly, you walk onto a tree lot.. and boom- HAPPINESS! That smell is like an ultimate, immediate high. Look, member of the tribe or not- I am the biggest supporter of any Americanized Holiday out there- and this activity sort of tops my list.
That is why I am wearing SPARKLES!!! These jeans are keepers, TARGET! I will keep them for years, I just know it. The rips in them are absolutely perfect. Not too big, not too small and fake. Shlumpy looking, but remaining chic!

Wishful Wednesday (Holiday Edition)

You can never have enough sparkle during the Holiday's! Not to mention, anything that has a bow, and could resemble a package (not that gifts are the only meaningful symbol of the Holiday time.. but you have to admit, they are a happy one)! I have always coveted/lusted Judith Leiber pieces. When Lily held the Cupcake in 'Sex and The City' I honestly about fell out of my movie theatre seat.
