Getting my hair done this afternoon. THANK THE LORDY (you've probably noticed my roots in the last couple weeks). secret: I kind of like dark roots. truth: they look trashy. Life as a girl.....

well, I got minorly depressed when I saw my wild hair on TV for a split second last night... ugh, 

                                              I WISH FOR NO MORE BAD HAIR DAYS!

I love braids, but they need to be more like this:

No matter what size you wear, hair makes a statement, and I vow to make an effort everyday to make sure the statement my hair makes is a positive reflection of myself..

This dress has so much movement in the flesh, but it just didn't seem to do itself justice in pictures- or maybe I was a lazy girl and didn't put in enough effort on the posing side of things. I am a sucker for long dresses....

 I love that I can plan to wear this dress super casual by the pool, or with heels and nice jewelry to an event, or thrown with a leather jacket to dinner!

A couple days ago we had a "friendsgiving" celebration. I recommend it to everyone- celebrate Thanksgiving with your friends separate from your family celebration... after all, we are all grateful for our friends!

There is something very Veruca meets Oompa Loompa about these tights- except.. I like them! I have to wear them with black.. to make them feel less.. less,... off. I LOVE colored tights, but normally I go burgundy, navy, grey, brown.. these are a little bit of a random color- but you can decide...

Gingerbread House making party for kids- count me in! I love navy blue and black together. Naturally, I dressed "festive". It has been such fall weather in Southern California this past week. So unusual, but, again- any excuse to wear boots and tights!

Now, I am 6'2.. and no boots will ever be knee-high on me, unless they were intended to be thigh-high but these come pretty darn close and are a major find if you ask me!

Classic

I don't know about you, but I have so many different definitions of 'classic taste'. Listen, as far as I am concerned- taste is taste. You can never go wrong with an oxford, black cigarette pants and loafers. I am infamous in my household for stealing my father and husbands dry cleaning. It is just so easy- menswear. This was one of those days, I just felt like throwing on a men's polo, black pants, Tods loafers, and my everyday jewelry. Effortless, but still somewhat pulled together. The irony is that along with the themed 'classic' outfit, came classic activities. I found a tire swing, and later in the evening we literally stumbled across a retro candy shop in Westwood, Rocket-Fizz.
